Location Management Services Signs
Contract With Kohl’s Corporation
Kohl’s, the 32nd largest
retailer in the country will use LMS to negotiate and manage state and local
incentives
MISSION
As new potential sites are identified, LMS will work with Kohl’s to identify and negotiate available state, local and federal tax credits and incentives for job creation and investment. These credits and incentives will help Kohl’s to lower the cost of establishing new stores and reduce long-term operating costs, thus benefiting Kohl’s shareholders and improving profitability.
“Every year, corporate America leaves behind billions in unclaimed incentives and tax credits, said Jim Renzas, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Location Management Services. “We are pleased that Kohl’s has chosen to contract with Location Management Services, and we’re looking forward to assisting them with their development plans.”
Kohl’s, the 32nd largest retailer in the country, currently operates more than 670 stores nationwide, and plans to open 500 more stores within the next five years. By being awarded the contract, LMS becomes an integral part of the Kohl’s development team, assisting in the evaluation of potential sites for Kohl’s corporate facilities.
“LMS has made a long-term commitment to Kohl’s to manage the entire process of incentives and credit compliance.” Renzas said. “During our searches we will work as an extension of the Kohl’s real estate team, helping to identify potential benefits which may be available to the company and then making sure that the management systems are in place to harvest these benefits.”
